Skills with people
Nine out of ten of the problems and challenges that IT Professionals face on a daily basis has nothing to do with technology. It has always something to do with people issues. These have cause enormous delays in development and implementation. Delays always cost money and damage to business reputation. Eight out ten times, after spending tons of money on hiring, training and development, companies have to let go of personnel that on paper have outstanding technical abilities but failed miserably because of attitudinal short-comings. However, if you look at the skills and techniques that IT professionals pursue to learn or acquire, 9 out of 10 times, the continuing education program has always been on technology upgrade. From these figures alone, there seem to be a mismatch of priorities. This session can save your office money and can save your career or better yet, gives you an “unfair advantage”. Whether we like it or not, no matter who they are, people would like to work with people who are likeable.
